Hello and welcome to this day's edition of, I am just gonna post something. So what if it's just e-mail content. I can't think of a topic at this time, so this'll have to do ya.

Welcome to the 2006 edition of getting to know your friends. What you are supposed to do is copy (not forward) this entire-mail and paste it onto a new e-mail that you'll send. Change all the answers so they apply to you, and then send this to a whole bunch of people including the person who sent it to you. The theory is that you will learn a lot of little things about your friends, if you did not know them already.
1. What time did you get up this morning? The first time?? 6am-ish
2. What was the last film you saw at the cinema? Walk the Line
3. What is your favorite TV show? Well these days, Mags controls the remote so everything on the Food Network -- especially Paula Deen, Inside the Actor's Studio, any movie that contains Morgan Freeman, Clint Eastwood or Tommy Lee Jones, Lifetime's mess. However, after mom hits the sack I do get to view Grey's Anatomy!

12. Favorite item of clothing? my dad's Dior sweater. Of course, he could care less who Dior was, as evident by the cigarette holes he burned in other clothing items ... or my "vintage" Pickens Blue Flame basketball hoodie!
13. If you could go anywhere in the world on vacation, where would you go? I'd set sail in Barcelona for a long, luxurious tour of the Mediterranean. Prefarably on some rich man's boat and at his full and limitless expense, of course.
14. What color is your bathroom? Some crazy behind 70s era Carolina Blue
15. Favorite brand of clothing? Now, do I speak realistically or like I'm immersed in Oprah's closet? Aw hell, I'd rather not even speak realistically as that's more depressing, so I'll say Armani - his clothes always look marvelous.
16. Where would you want to retire? To my bed? Anyway, I'll take a nice, cozy crib in the Blue Ridge Mountains, prefarably somewhere by a lake or a stream of some sort, with a deck that looks to go on for miles that overlooks those pristine, sloping ridges, a wrap-around porch complete with a swing and an indoor and outdoor fireplace.

19. Who do you least expect to send this back? I don't know, I'm posting it because I don't have anything else to write about at this time. Whoever does try to reply, which I'm guessing will be no one, probably won't be able to do so in the LJ space anyhow, so you can email me directly if you like.

At first it was a football player, I imagine, then a teacher, an astronaut for the five seconds or so before the Challenger blew up in our faces, Matlock, a pediatrician until Mrs. Baker in 10th grade, then it was a writer/entertainer. Now I just want to be little.

28. What is your best childhood memory? Summertime in Dacusville country - Over to Aunt Mary Lee's in the morning to get hot biscuits and homemade preserves or molasses (depending on my mood), riding my bike all day with Reggie, plotting for a way to ride past the yield sign, watching NatureScene and then exploring in the woods, begging cousin Lloyd to ride us around on his motorcycle or anyone of my great uncles for a ride on their tractor or the back of the pickup truck to anywhere. Lunchtime at Aunt Ella Mae's, which required potential leg/limb sacrifices at the jaws of her stupid Dobermans, but man was it ever worth it - piles of ice cream, cake, pies and candy, always watermelon and on really smashingly good days, free access to her basement, which was our equivalent to finding that pirate ship with One-Eyed Willie on it. The rest of our afternoons generally consisted of trying to trick Uncle Lake into giving us his 50 cent pieces, which only worked if I kissed him on the cheek and I was not ever too keen on gettin' too close to him because I was scared of his crazy eye and the fact that he had no legs, forever building on the clubhouse that never was, pestering Reggie's dad, a carpenter, to let us handle the power tools and help build something, Nintendo, more bike ridin' and depending on the day of the week or holidays/special occasions, a ton of other fun.
29. What are the different jobs you have had in your life? Ugh. Retail hell beginning with TJ Maxx, OfficeMax (I thought I was gonna marry a man named Max at this point), Dillards. The kiddie stuff - Camp Glen Arden (still miss it) and the YMCA. Temporary purgatories with Canal Insurance Co. and Carolina First. A bite out of the Big Apple at Ruder Finn and now your soon to be IRS Data Transcriber ... I have had more jobs than I realized. Okay, moving on ...
